Week two of the Halfway CP school life drawing project began with a review of the blog post from last week. We read through the post together and listened to the sound recordings.
For this week’s warm-up exercise we sat in pairs opposite each other, and looking closely, made a drawing of the other person’s eyes.
Then we drew our own hands. Some people found it hard and some of us found it easy.
We cleared the tables away and took it in turns to lie down and make a pose on huge sheets of black or white paper that covered the whole floor.
We took it in turns to draw an outline, choosing either a black pastel on white paper or a white pastel on black paper.
After the break, Pip asked us to think about how we might describe ourselves and what we like doing best in pictures and then to draw these inside our life-size outlines.
Here we are working on our pictures.
This slideshow is of us lying alongside our completed picture.
Before we left to go back to school, we each chose a different word to describe how we felt about the workshop today.
wonderful, fun, exciting, incredible, happy, brilliant, great fun, good.
